19:10I am going to be talking about reasons to give birth without pain-reducing medication so that you can have a beautiful birth experience and pave the way for great bonding with your child. Question of the day: What is your reason for giving birth without pain-reducing medication? Let me know in the comment section below. Why it is important to give birth without pain reducing meds like an epidural. For each woman the reason is a little bit different. I want to give you some reasons to ponder. Birth is not an easy task. And I want you to know that I know this. I know it is hard, but I know you can do it, and I want you to know that I am here to support you. Labor and birth have become known as an abnormal event that causes pain and needs a lot of interventions such as epidurals, monitors, cervical checks, assisted deliveries, and more. But I want you to think of birth a little bit differently. You are naturally capable of giving birth because you have an intuitive instinct to give birth. You are able to give birth without all of the interventions deemed necessary. You can get the support you need and be comforted through your natural birth process so that it is not a suffering birth process. Giving birth naturally (vaginally and without pain-reducing meds) is the best for Mom. C-Section births are not best because they put mom and baby at risk for infection, the slower healing process, and complications with breastfeeding success and bonding. They are saved for emergency situations. Epidurals put mom in bed with constant stimulations. Now there are times when epidurals are necessary, there are times when C-Sections and assisted deliveries are necessary, and I want to make it clear that I am not putting these down and each woman has a different situation. I am here to tell you that amazing event happening in the body when we women let our primal personalities come out to give birth naturally. Things happen such as listening to our body, move with contractions, open up our hips and pelvis to make room for baby to move down into the birth canal, labor that progresses faster than if we had an epidural and laid in bed, decreases sense of pain, elated feeling, preventing hemorrhage, and long-term bonding with baby.... Learn more by listening to the podcast episode! :)…

15:24What are the signs of labor? When should you go to the hospital in active labor for your labor and delivery? Labor and delivery can be difficult to understand, let us help you! ► Don’t forget to click the link to join my FREE live online pregnancy coaching class. ►►► Free Online Pregnancy Coaching Class - http://bit.ly/pearentlyliveclass Often times women end up at the hospital and they are embarrassed realizing that they did not need to come to the hospital. Coming to the hospital when you are not in labor can spend unnecessary time and money on your part. It is our goal to help save you both time and money by helping you understand when you should come to the hospital. Did you know that 90% of women that show up in the hospital thinking they are in labor end up getting sent home! We want to save you money and the embarrassment of getting sent home. Labor is a journey that you will take as a woman. If you look at the signs of labor as a journey you will be able to understand what is happening and when you are truly ready to go to the hospital. If you understand labor as a journey than you will have an expectation of how long it will take and what to expect. But just like in journey labor can come with some detours and it can vary in duration. It is important to understand that labor and delivery are longer for some women and shorter for others. The journey varies for each woman. Labor is a journey of regular contractions, a certain interval of time, and pain. You need to have all three of these before you know for sure that you are in labor. The first of these is regular contractions. Regular or frequent contractions are defined as contractions happening every two to four minutes, two to three minutes, or three to five minutes. These are all variations of labor contractions that have a frequent pattern. They must have an interval of fewer than five minutes to be considered frequent contractions. So if you are contracting frequently but it is every fifteen minutes then that is NOT frequent. Frequent is every two to five minutes. The second part of understanding the signs of labor is the length of contractions. How long is your contraction lasting for each time you have one. Contractions that are regular in nature are sixty to ninety seconds long. So, your contraction starts and it lasts a certain time period. In order for your contractions to be frequent that time period needs to be sixty to ninety seconds. Pain is the third thing that must take place in order for you to be in labor. Pain is a necessary process in order to deliver your baby. Men, cannot handle the pain of labor and delivery, but women have been blessed with the strength and fortitude to handle the pain of labor and delivery. You can watch the video for more on understanding the signs of labor. ----- Visit our Website - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider. 15:24How do you know if you are in labor and when should you go to the hospital? Dr. Boyd is going to talk to you about 4 reasons you should consider to go or not go to the hospital. ► Don’t forget to click the link to join my FREE live online pregnancy coaching class. ►►► Free Online Pregnancy Coaching Class - http://bit.ly/pearentlyliveclass Dr. Boyd will talk about the 4 reasons that you should or should not go to the hospital. These are in a specific order so that you know if you are truly ready to go to the hospital. Labor Rupture of Membranes Spotting Vs Bleeding Decreased Fetal Movement Labor is the first sign that you need to consider when you are thinking about going into the hospital. For first time moms it can be tricky to understand when you are actually in labor. You have never felt active (FULL ON) labor before so how in the world do you know if it is actually happening. Dr. Boyd uses many analogies to help you understand the pain of labor. Labor pain is a key indicator. He likes to ask women in his practice. Have you ever been hit in the head with a wood 2x4. 99.9% of women, say, “Well, of course not”. He then proceeds to say… “If you did get hit in the head with a 2x4 would you know…” And I am sure most women would say, “Well, of course.” This is what labor pain is like. You are CERTAIN that you are in labor because you have never experienced this level of pain before. Another key element is to consider the timing and of your contractions (described by Dr. Boyd in the video). The second reason you may be in labor, or you may not be… is the rupture of your membranes. Many women end up at the hospital and they have merely lost urine rather than their membranes rupturing. So it is important to understand the difference between your membranes being ruptured and simply losing urine do to a weak urethra late in pregnancy. The third reason you may or may not end up at the hospital is bleeding or spotting. Something that happens late in your pregnancy is spotting. This is due to the cervix thinning out and preparing for the delivery of your baby. If you are bleeding heavily on the other hand you are definitely going to want to call your healthcare provider or go to your local hospital. The last thing that may take you into the hospital is decreased fetal movement. Every woman that is pregnant feels their baby move throughout their pregnancy. However as you reach the end of your pregnancy your baby begins to run out of room. So the movement is going to decrease relatively to your earlier gestation. More about when to go into the hospital in the video! ----- Visit our Website - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider. 20:52Hey ladies, welcome to our live stream on how to get pregnant faster with irregular periods. ► Click the link below to download our 3 Step Guide to Getting Pregnant ►►► 3 Step Guide to Getting Pregnant ( http://bit.ly/3steppregnantguide ) First, let’s talk about the fact that planning is so important when it comes to pregnancy. Getting pregnant can take time for women, and it is easy to get frustrated when it doesn’t happen today. Taking time to plan when you want to get pregnant will help you control your anxiety. So, let’s talk about the reasons why some women have irregular periods. Birth control changes your hormones so that you don’t ovulate. When you stop taking birth control, it may take up to one year for ovulation to return. Depo-Provera and Implanon/Nexplanon can take one year or more for ovulation to return. If you have a low BMI (less than 18), or if you have a high BMI (greater than 30) your hormones may be out of balance and you may have irregular periods and not ovulate. It is possible to ovulate if you have irregular periods. However, it is very difficult to know when and if you are ovulating. The only way to know for sure is if you get pregnant. Using an ovulation predictor kit or having sex every day could work, but this is not predictable or consistent. A regular period is somewhat specialized to you. You need to mark on your calendar when you begin one cycle (the first day you see blood) and count to the first day of your next cycle (the first day you see blood). How many days was that? Is your next cycle the same as your last? How about the last cycle? This is predictable, consistent, and it means you are regular. Say you have a 28-day cycle. You may ovulate on day 14. Your fertile window is the time period that you may ovulate within if you don’t ovulate on day 14. Your fertile window is day 10 to day 18. You and your husband should have sex every 48-hours starting on day 10 through day 18. Download our free 3 Step Guide to Getting Pregnant So, we know that it is very important to regulate cycles before trying to conceive. How can you regulate your cycles naturally? Dr. Boyd says that the way to regulate your cycle naturally is with the hormone progesterone. Talk to your doctor about how much progesterone you need to regulate your cycles. Best wishes on conceiving! ----- Visit our Website - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider. Hey mama, can you drink coffee while you are pregnant? ► You can learn all the ins and outs of your pregnancy, including more about the best drinks, nutrition, and SO much more by clicking the link below! ►►► Click the link to learn more about becoming empowered in your pregnancy! ( https://pearently.com ) I love coffee. I want a hot cup of coffee when I get up in the morning. But when I was pregnant, I didn’t want coffee. I still wanted the caffeine though. If you are like that, then don’t resort to soda. All sugar can lead to gestational diabetes and weight gain. Diet soda has aspartame and can lead to other health concerns. But we are talking about coffee today. So, you are pregnant, and you are wondering how much coffee you can drink. It is recommended that you not drink more than 200 mg of caffeine per day. Two cups of coffee have 190 mg of caffeine. So, your intake should not be more than about two cups or 16 ounces. Think about the size cup of coffee you drink out of each day. Now compare it to a measuring cup. Maybe you thought it was only a cup of coffee but it is more like two cups of coffee. Also, you want to be sure you are keeping track of how much sugar you are consuming with your coffee. Try to stay away from frappuccinos, lattes, and other added sugar. When I say coffee, I mean plain coffee. It is easy to forget that a shot of espresso has a lot more concentrated caffeine. Last, don’t forget to drink water. I recommend that you drink 60 - 100 ounces of water per day as a baseline. Get a water bottle that you love. Fill it up, drink it, and fill it up again. If you drink coffee then think about how it will cause you to pee more. So, you need to drink more water to prevent bladder and kidney infections and also replenish the amniotic fluid. ----- Visit our Website - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider. The answer is that you will ovulate approximately 4-6 weeks after a miscarriage. Now, you can ovulate as soon as two weeks and as long as three months after your miscarriage. But the average is 4-6 weeks. However, it is not recommended that you get pregnant so soon after a miscarriage. Most healthcare providers recommend that you wait six months before getting trying to conceive again. This is because you are at greater risk for another miscarriage if you conceive too early. The miscarriage rate is twenty-percent (one in five women miscarry). However, this percentage is much higher if you conceive before the six-month mark. Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Boyd. I am explaining why the doctor has to check your cervix. ► Click the link below to download the power pregnancy workbook and get all that you need in your pregnancy, labor, and delivery. ► ► ► Click to download the Power Pregnancy Workbook - http://bit.ly/powerpregnancy I hear this question a lot, “Why is my doctor going to check my cervix?” I know that a lot of women are also concerned with “how often will my doctor check my cervix during pregnancy?”, so we will answer this as well. First, no one likes to have their cervix examined, but it is important to remember that there is a good reason for the doctor to examine your cervix. Your healthcare provider will examine your cervix by placing a speculum when you have your first OB visit. Your cervix is located at the bottom of your uterus. This exam is to verify that your cervix is closed and 5 cm (approximately 2 inches) in length. This means that your cervix is competent and can hold your baby inside of your uterus until the time of delivery around 40 weeks gestation. You will have your next cervical exam around 36 - 38 weeks gestation unless you begin to have contractions before this time. If you begin to have contractions before 36 weeks gestation, then your healthcare provider will examine your cervix to make sure you don’t have preterm labor and preterm birth. In the past, healthcare providers would examine the cervix before 36 weeks gestation to make sure baby was in the head down position. With the help of sonogram, we don’t need to examine the cervix so early anymore. We now check the cervix to see if the cervix is thinning and opening. To examine your cervix, the healthcare provider will have you remove your clothes, lay on the exam table, and pull your legs up into a frog leg position. This exam should not hurt. Notify your healthcare provider if she or he is hurting you. A cervix completely dilated (10 cm) and completely effaced will allow baby to be delivered. ----- Visit our Website - http://Pearently.com Disclaimer: Please discuss any healthcare information found on this channel with your healthcare provider.
