WATER! How have we gone this long in the podcast without a hydration deep dive...!?
We know it's a critical determinant of health.
While we can survive months without food, the human body can only go a few days without water...

- About 60% of the body is water, and about 2/3 of that SHOULD BE inside cells
- Cellular hydration is critical to optimize metabolic function and detoxification
- Hydration starts in the gut with a healthy microbiome and a high fiber WFPB diet
- Getting water inside cells requires minerals/electrolytes that keep cell membranes charged
- A healthy metabolism also creates hydrogen ions that pull water into cells
- Mineralized spring water, lemon water, herbal teas, green juices are best for hydrating
- It's important to EAT your water too! (fresh fruits and veggies)
