Traumatic memories are not just about the events that happened; they are about the long-term beliefs, patterns of thinking and emotional feelings we create in response to those events. It's essential to differentiate between the event itself and the beliefs and thoughts we associate with it. This confusion often leads to a cycle of anxiety and distress.
Healing from traumatic memories is a journey that requires understanding, compassion, and accountability. By separating the event from the legacy of beliefs, thoughts and emotions it creates, using the Golden Thread process, reparenting your Inner Child, you can let go of past trauma and move forward with confidence.
