Have you ever had one of those moments where you seemed to be in another world? Zoned out, lost in your own mind?🤔

Your friends or family might lean in close and snap you out of it, wondering what you were thinking.

If so, then you have found yourself on a spontaneous relaxation journey.🤗

You may or may not have been deep in thought.

You may or may not have been taking in some scenery🌴 or other sensation.

Inevitably, you will feel at least a tiny bit more at peace when you come back into the world🌍 around you.

Today, on Episode #60 of the Habit Thrive Podcast, we are exploring how to use these little moments to relax amid the chaos.🤯

Relaxation does not have to mean meditating by a lake or taking a nap on the couch.

You can find little snippets of relaxation nearly anywhere at any time:

  • at home when the kids or grandkids have been running wild👶
  • at work when the phones just seem to keep ringing📞
  • at a social gathering where everyone is talking all at once👩‍👩‍👦‍👦
  • at a music festival (like I did) where you’re surrounded by hundreds of strangers and blaring music🎤

Carve out little moments where you can listen to your breath for 5 minutes, take a bath in your hotel with your favorite essential oils or just close your eyes and listen for a moment.

You don’t need the perfect setting, the perfect timing or the perfect tools in order to relax. If you do, that’s great! If not, that’s OK👌, too.

Both planned and spontaneous relaxation will result in better sleep and a happier next day and day after that.
