Do you prioritize your personal health?

Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual; being aware and focused on our health is more important now than it has ever been in our lives. Personally I have been on my own journey with this, and I’m sure many of you have too. I’ve worked hard on my health in many ways. I fast, I work out, I meditate, journal, pray, and continue to allow my mind to accept new perspectives and possibilities to allow myself to continue to expand and grow. The balance can be difficult, and can become harder when something unexpected happens that can potentially shake confidence and trust. For me, I experienced this very recently when I experienced a certain… bug that has been going around. To put it bluntly, it got real.

This week I want to talk about not only my experience with this very talked about, and very famous virus and pandemic; but I want to talk about what it brought up for me personally. I have committed myself and my platform to being open and sensitive around this topic. Through podcasts and poetry I have tried to address not just my own, but the collective concerns about this time in our human history in a way that reminds us to continue to choose love. So when I experienced it personally I was able to gain a new perspective and reality that I would like to share with you in the hopes that it might allow more awareness, and most importantly compassion.
