It was my birthday on Sunday April 2nd so what better way to celebrate than running the 22 miles of Exe to Axe which starts on the Exmouth seafront and finishes on the Seaton seafront.
Organised by Sidmouth Road Runners this is a tough coastal path run which is particularly hard in the second half from Sidmouth.
A great sense of achievement when I crossed the finish line. Distance wise this was my 8th longest ever run whilst time wise at 5:18 it was my 3rd longest time after the Classic Quarter, the Classic Quarter relay and tying with the 2021 Red RAT.
It was a great event - you should do it in 2024!
This is episode 117 of the Running 44@60 podcast. You can access and download the previous 116 episodes via your usual podcast app or on the Running 44@60 podcast page.

Host Trevor Lee ran his own first ultra in 2021 - the 44 mile Classic Quarter - hence 44@60. Each sales generates £5 for Childrens Hospice South West.
Trevor's big running goal is the Arc of Attrition 50 in January 2024. He's also planning to run the KVK on April 15th, Hope 24 in July, the Black Rat in August and the Endurance Life Suffolk 32 miler in October.
