The holiday season is notorious for being a stressful time of year, especially if you deal with social anxiety.
While it’s great to get to see your family and friends who live far away, there’s no denying how social anxiety can outshine all the holiday cheer. Family gatherings and office parties can seem overwhelming and the increase in social engagements over the holidays can be a source of dread.
If any of this sounds like you, just know that you don't have to suffer through it alone!
In this episode, I share with you 8 proven ways to overcome social anxiety for a stress-free holiday season:
- Awareness of symptoms, signs, experiences and emotions.
- Recognize negative thoughts.
- Emotional Freedom Technique.
- Prepare for certain conversations.
- Give yourself a role.
- Deal with perfectionism and people pleasing tendencies.
- Let go of fear of judgement.
- Surrender it all to your higher self.
