Neil, a native New Yorker, has painted the faces of Sophia Richie and Destiny's Child Michelle Williams, has worked on Beyonce’s and Adele’s music videos and is Elle Macpherson’s go-to makeup artist. He's a regular contributor to some of the world's biggest websites including Women's Health, Byrdie, POPSUGAR, and more.

Neil sat down with me to chat about how he spent many days off working for free and built his network from nothing, noting how important being genuinely interested in makeup artistry and holding yourself professionally is. Neil speaks to the idea that social media has had a somewhat negative impact on the world of celebrity makeup artists and how he came to learn that doing a good job with a good heart will carry you further than any online presence every will.
