In this episode, Joy explains that polycystic ovarian syndrome predisposes her to certain chronic diseases. But she has learned how to cook foods that are pleasant to her taste buds so that she can continue to lose weight even while busy working on her doctorate in Physical Therapy. She shares that her mother, who is in her 60’s works a full-time job and is one of her biggest challengers!
