I’m always thinking about coaching.

Whether it’s hanging out in the gym, watching my kids play with their friends, or just watching sports and TV, I’m constantly thinking about the role we play in other people’s lives.

But as one person in this great big world, how do we have the biggest impact on the clients and athletes we coach?

How can we not only help them, but in turn, make ourselves feel more successful along the way?

These are some of the main themes and tenets in this week’s podcast, and regardless of where you’re at in your coaching journey, I think you’re going to love this episode.

Let’s do this!

Athletes always need someone that believe in them MORE THAN they believe in themselves. – MR

This Week on the Physical Prep Podcast:

  • Why it’s okay (and even expected!) for you to suck as a coach when you’re starting out.
  • The entry-level trait you MUST have if you want to be successful.
  • Should you be investing in yourself? Or in others?
  • What Roy Hibbert taught me about vision and belief in coaching.
  • Why it’s so critical to distinguish YOUR goals in training from THEIR goals.
  • The best way to use and leverage social media if you have a small list or audience.
  • What I was reminded of in attending the Northeast Indiana Sports Performance Clinic last weekend – and how it applies to YOU.
  • One of the most important things you should be doing once you’ve passed the 5-year mark in your career…
  • Why it’s so critical you take care of yourself first as a coach or health practitioner.
  • And don’t forget: You have a pretty awesome job!
