Hello Beautiful Soul!
I recently got back from an incredible vacation where I was able to focus on my vocation of marriage and truly surround myself with the creations of God's goodness. However, out in the wilderness, I had a lot of time to reflect back on how not so long ago, I would have found myself reeling in comparison. I would have looked at the great provisions of the wealthy there with an envious heart of the comforts they were afforded. I would have questioned if what I had back home was worth much of anything and found myself frustrated by the privileges afforded to others, victimizing myself rather than looking at all that I’ve been given.

Is this a trap you've fallen into yourself? Maybe you’ve compared your material items to someone else in your neighborhood. Maybe you’ve compared the ease that it seems like others have in parenting and marriage. Or, maybe like some of my clients, you’ve lost sight of the incredible gifts that God has instilled in you, because you’ve been focusing on an experience where they weren’t recognized or where you didn’t know fully now to utilize the by allowing the Holy Spirit to work through you.
In this episode I offer some tried and true strategies I've used to help clients, former students, and myself, get out of the comparison rut to truly see the beauty of my own gifts. I pray they will help you too!
