Recently, New Year's greetings have shifted from postcards to greetings on LINE. This change has also led to a decrease in the usual end-of-year and New Year job postings for post office temporary staff and the busy scenes of postal workers, making us feel the changing times. It might not be very well-known to people overseas, but if you want to experience thrill rides even scarier than those at Disneyland or Universal Studios Japan—both popular tourist spots—this park is highly recommended. This textbook was created over 20 years ago, and even the most recent revision was made 10 years ago, so it contains quite old information. Feeling doubtful about raising children in a big city like Osaka, my friend moved to the nature-rich Shikoku. However, it seems that they had trouble fitting into the social dynamics in their new environment. Rather than just interpersonal relationships, they said they struggled to adapt to the mindset and behaviors of the people there, which were influenced by the unique characteristics of Shikoku as an island. This is not something limited to Shikoku—it can also be said about Okinawa and even Japan as a whole. We talked about the cultural traits shaped by the closed worlds of islands and rural areas. Japan is extremely popular among foreign tourists, yet signs prohibiting tattoos are still commonly seen at hot springs. In fact, the number of Japanese people with tattoos has been increasing. Kitakyushu City is in Fukuoka Prefecture, but it’s right next to Yamaguchi Prefecture, so we also explored the charm of Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi has been featured in The New York Times , but we have never been there. We looked into what makes it so appealing. Two years ago, there was still some impact from COVID-19, and there weren’t many tourists. This time, however, the central area of Osaka, around Shinsaibashi, was overflowing with tourists. It was packed with visitors from all over the world, and I was surprised to hardly hear any Japanese, let alone the Osaka dialect. As usual, I enjoyed some kushikatsu and indulged in Osaka’s famous gourmet foods. But this time, I also discovered a new side of Osaka by finding lots of cool vintage clothes in Ame-Mura (America Village). In the first week, we were so focused on getting used to life here that we couldn’t really enjoy Kuala Lumpur, and we weren’t able to share many positive updates in the podcast. However, unlike the first week, by the second week, we’ve gotten a bit more accustomed to life here, and both of us can now speak more positively. Tora has made friends at school through badminton, and it seems like he’s started to enjoy school. I’ve also become friends with the gym staff, which made me realize how important it is to have hobbies when living abroad. Daha Sonra Çal Daha Sonra Çal Listeler Beğen Beğenildi今（いま）「The Crown」というドラマにハマっています。エリザベス女王（じょおう）のストーリーを通（とお）して、イギリスの王室制度（おうしつせいど）、結婚観（けっこんかん）、日本（にほん）の皇室制度（こうしつせいど）との違（ちが）いなどなど、学（まな）ぶことがたくさんありました。特（とく）に、恋愛（れんあい）や結婚（けっこん）が大（おお）きく関係（かんけい）してくる王室内（おうしつない）の生活（せいかつ）は、日本（にほん）と比（くら）べて大（おお）きく違（ちが）っていてとても興味深（きょうみぶか）いものでした。私（わたし）が感（かん）じた個人的（こじんてき）なドラマの感想（かんそう）を話（はな）しています。あくまでもドラマについての個人的（こじんてき）な感想（かんそう）であり、実際（じっさい）のイギリス王室（おうしつ）や国王（こくおう）を批判（ひはん）したものではありませんので、ご了承（りょうしょう）ください。笑 I am currently hooked on the drama "The Crown." Through Queen Elizabeth's story, I have learned a lot about the British monarchy, views on marriage, and the differences from the Japanese imperial system. In particular, the lifestyle within the royal family, where romance and marriage play a significant role, is very different from Japan's, and it is very intriguing.
