EP.97 - Talk South Asian To Me - Accomplice vs Ally? Navigating Interracial Relationships
Manage episode 443027886 series 3421066
Today’s episode is a bit different, as I’m sharing a conversation from my guest appearance on “Talk South Asian to Me” with hosts Anusha and Mashal. I opened up about my personal experience navigating an interracial relationship, discussing self-discovery, internalized racism, and the unique challenges of parenting biracial kids. It’s a vulnerable and honest exploration of love, identity, and real allyship—one that goes beyond surface-level conversations. I also highlight why avoiding these topics, shutting them down with conflicting statements, or letting time pass because “life is too short” is not acceptable. We need to lean into these uncomfortable but necessary discussions for true growth and connection.
A huge thank you to the hosts for inviting me into such a safe space that, for the first time ever, allowed me to speak so openly on a recording about these experiences.
Let’s keep this conversation going—share your thoughts with us on Instagram.
Hope you enjoy the episode!
