My guest this week is Aleks “The Hebrew Hammer” Salkin.

Aleks Salkin is a level 2 StrongFirst certified kettlebell instructor and an Original Strength Instructor. He grew up scrawny, unathletic, weak, and goofy until he was exposed to kettlebells and the teaching and methodology of Pavel Tsatsouline in his early 20s, and took his training and movement skills to the next level upon discovering Original Strength in his mid-20s.

Aleks has since gone on to become a well-recognized leader in the fields of strength training with kettlebells, calisthenics, and natural human movement, and has taught or co-instructed workshops in 6 different countries: the United States, Israel, Italy, Australia, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, with workshops in several more countries currently in development for the next year.

Aleks is also the author of the best-selling books The No BS Kettlebell and Bodyweight Kickstart and Tamers of the Lost Arc: Insider Tips on Smashing Your Plateaus, Kickstarting Your Progress, and Forging Bold New Strength in the Kettlebell Ballistic Lifts, as well as The 9-Minute Kettlebell and Bodyweight Challenge – a free guide devoted to helping kettlebell and calisthenics enthusiasts to forge full-body strength, resilience, and real-world fitness in just 9 minutes a day and without giving up their current training program to do so.
