Do you ever feel like your personal development journey has plateaued and like you’re not gaining traction? You may have devoted yourself to the path of well-being, but something feels missing. Or maybe you feel like there’s something looming beneath the surface, but you don’t want to face the trauma because it feels too big. To achieve true well-being, addressing and processing past traumas is essential. Our bodies retain the effects of trauma until we safely process it. Overcoming trauma can be a lifelong journey, but thankfully, healing is absolutely possible.

On today’s episode of Female Fluence, my guest is Demarra West, a licensed therapist since 2010, who generously gave us immense insight on how to achieve well-being and process past trauma. Demarra has endured eight out of the ten trauma incidents measured by the Adverse Childhood Experiences Scale. This led her to explore various wellness modalities that have not only facilitated her own healing but have also created more peace, joy, and abundance in every area of her life. Not only is she a Registered Yoga Teacher, but she is also certified in Yoga as a Peace Practice and Trauma Sensitive. Demarra is also a Reiki master, trained in EFT therapy, and the founder of ‘Be Well Beautiful Woman’, which provides accessible wellness and business support for female leaders and entrepreneurs. Demarra pulls from her many years of experience while working with clients, but also, from her own experience with years of enduring trauma herself. The healing that has taken place in Demarra’s life thereafter is remarkable. This is an episode full of practical guidance on how to process past trauma and achieve well-being – be sure to tune in!
