Dr. Isabel’s and Culinary Nutritional Expert Michael’s coaching is based on functional medicine and nutrition principles.
Functional medicine addresses the root cause of disease, using a systems approach, and engages both the patient and the practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. Dr. Isabel shifts from the traditional disease-centered focus of medicine to a more patient–centered approach. She works to address you as a whole person, by looking at your lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, and self‐talk.
Chef Michael offers practical, everyday, natural cooking skills as well as a deeper exploration into the therapeutic properties of the foods we eat and how we prepare them. I want to coach you to “Reclaim Your Kitchen” from the food industry. I use food as medicine, to help you live your Optimal Health, not just normal health!
Functional Nutrition Chefs spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, functional nutrition supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
