Manage episode 405372059 series 2786623
At the 2023 AAHKS Annual Meeting, the chair of the Digital Health & Social Media Committee Shaun P. Patel, MD and Dustin J. Schuett, DO sat down with Joshua C. Rozell, MD to discuss his paper presented at the meeting on how there’s additional stress on surgeons who peform surgery on patients with an elevated BMI. In Dr. Rozell’s study, he showed that additional work is required and placed on surgeons who perform these kinds of surgeries versus your standard primary knee or hip replacement surgery. The goal was to quantify and provide data showing this.
Listen to the recording for more on Dr. Rozell’s findings on the association of complex cases and how it affects the surgeon.
