This week, I chatted about the meals I suggested over the weekend for your week and mentioned how having a variety of ingredients in your meals and supplements is beneficial and included a quick reminder to be active everyday, too.

For some of us, routine equals comfort. For some of us, variety is vital. Well, in the kitchen, that variety is literally the SPICE of LIFE. Making sure to switch up not only what you eat, but when you eat it, keeps your body guessing and ensures it doesn’t get too comfortable with a single routine.

With a kid, our days tend to be fairly similar as far as timing goes, but I try to vary the times I eat, how much I’m eating, what I eat, and what supplements I’m taking too. For instance, I skip my vitamins, usual superfood smoothie, and such on Sundays… it just gives my system a chance to rebalance and remember that it can function on it’s own. I also tend to sleep in a bit and take a break from rigorous activities in favor of a gentle walk (to breakfast of course!).
