Am heutigen 01. November 2023 feiert man in vielen Regionen Allerheiligen. Ein Feiertag in einigen Bundesländern, an denen man seiner verstorbenen Angehörigen und Freunde gedenkt. Leider gibt es auch in Andreas' Familie einen aktuellen Anlass, diesen Feiertag zu begehen, denn am 26. Oktober verstarb sein Vater Hans Schneider nach einjähriger Krankheit. Diese 402. Episode von "XtraChill" soll aber auch alle Menschen mit einschließen, die sich gerade in Trauer befinden und / oder heute ebenfalls ihrer Liebsten gedenken, die nicht mehr unter uns weilen. Dazu hat der liebe Andreas die ursprünglich geplante Playliste auf die folgende Episode verschoben und spielt stattdessen ein ganz besonderes Musikstück, dass gleich in zwei "XtraChill"-Kategorien passt: "Bekannte Alben - neu angehört" und "XtraChill Classix". In Episode 354 lief bereits die B-Seite der Maxi-Single "The Shining Cosmos" von "All India Radio" ls Episoden-Rausschmeißer. Und heute läuft das 27-minütige Titelstück von Seite A - ein Werk, das nicht nur wegen des Titels perfekt zum aktuellen Anlass passt. Musik kann trösten und verbinden. Möge diese ganz besondere Folge von "XtraChill" dazu beitragen, etwas mehr Licht in all die Düsternis dieser Welt zu tragen.

Today, on November 1st, 2023, All Saints Day is celebrated in many regions. A holiday in some federal states on which people remember their deceased relatives and friends. Unfortunately, there is also a current reason for Andreas' family to celebrate this holiday, because his father Hans Schneider died on October 26th after a year-long illness. This 402. episode of "XtraChill" should also include all people who are currently in mourning and / or are also remembering their loved ones who are no longer with us. Dear Andreas has postponed the originally planned playlist to the following episode and instead plays a very special piece of music that fits into two "XtraChill" categories: "Known albums - newly listened to" and "XtraChill Classix". In episode 354, the B-side of the maxi single "The Shining Cosmos" from "All India Radio" was featured as the episode bouncer. And today the 27-minute title track from side A is playing - a work that fits the current occasion perfectly, and not just because of the title. Music can comfort and connect. May this very special episode of “XtraChill” help bringing a little more light into all the darkness in this world.
