Welcome back to the kitchen table. We give so much attention to our to-do lists, our children, and the demands of daily life. But attention is the beginning of devotion. Where we place our attention, devotion follows.
In the everyday moments of motherhood—when we’re folding laundry, driving to activities, or calming tantrums—there’s a profound opportunity to come face-to-face with God. Jesus and Paul both remind us that we can find God’s presence in everything.
Matthew 28:20 tells us that he is always with us, and Colossians 3 urges us to set our hearts on things above. If we change our perspective, we’ll begin to see his presence in the midst of our daily tasks. This shift in attention will deepen our devotion.
