In this episode we speak with Abby Nawrocki, Senior Director of Wholesale at ShipMonk and Founder of Stock. Abby has a degree in supply chain, operations management and international business from Indiana University and provides valuable lessons her schooling experience and why she decided to study and go into the supply chain industry. Through her various roles at 3PLs like DHL, Radial and Geodis she has worked with major brands like Zara, SKIMS, and Apple. Most recently, she had front row seats as Deliverr, where she was Director of Operations, was acquired by Shopify, and was then quickly acquired by Flexport. She discusses the challenges of entrepreneurship, particularly in launching her latest initiative, Stock, which connects 3PLs with nonprofits to find a new home for excess and abandoned inventory. The conversation also touches on the rise of boutique 3PLs, the importance of representation in the supply chain industry, especially for women, and offers numerous bits of valuable advice for aspiring supply chain professionals.
