John 14. Day 219 - The New Testament in a Year
The Way, the Truth, and the Life. The Promise of the Holy Spirit. The Gift of Peace.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” - John 14:6-7
What is true peace, and where can we find it when life feels uncertain? In John 14, Jesus reassures His disciples, offering comfort, direction, and the promise of His Spirit to guide them when He’s no longer physically present. As He tells them He is the only way to the Father, we’re reminded of the exclusive, yet inclusive, invitation Jesus gives to everyone to come to God through Him. This chapter is packed with promises that point us to trust and peace beyond worldly fears.
