39: Collecting and Connecting Dots pt. 1

We're dipping back into our on-again-off-again series in the book of Acts. This time we're picking up the story in chapter 17. Paul encounters a group of faithful believers in God who have collecting "dots" of meaning but who refuse to believe that Jesus is the one who connects the dots of God's story. Will we see Jesus as the one who connects the dots of our life's story? NOTES // SCRIPTURE FOCUS -- Acts 17.1-9 // Acts is the story of how the good news of Jesus is on the move to everyone everywhere. // We collect dots as we search for meaning and purpose in life. Jesus connects the dots of the Story God's telling and a life worth living. // Why is it so hard to connect the dots? 1. Status Quo -- No room for where God's going 2. Suffering -- No room for God in pain // From slavery to deliverance, from exile to rebuilding, from crucifixion to resurrection, the Story shows us that God works within and even through suffering.
