What stories/beliefs have lasted a lifetime? Do we understand them intellectually, emotionally, and relationally? If we do, we grow, into a wisdom that makes life truly worth living.

The word -ology is a back-formation from the names of certain disciplines. The -logy element basically means "the study of ____". Such words are formed from Greek or Latin roots with the terminal -logy derived from the Greek suffix -λογια (-logia), speaking, from λεγειν (legein), "to speak".

Developmental Levels:

1. Beige: At this level, individuals are focused on survival and meeting their basic needs. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that ensure basic needs such as food, shelter, and safety are met.

2. Purple: Individuals at this level are focused on belonging and connection. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on building community and promoting social cohesion.

3. Red: At this level, individuals are focused on power and control. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that promote individual freedom and self-expression.

4. Blue: Individuals at this level are focused on order and structure. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that promote tradition and stability.

5. Orange: At this level, individuals are focused on innovation and progress. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that promote economic growth and scientific advancement.

6. Green: Individuals at this level are focused on equality and social justice. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that promote diversity and inclusivity.

7. Yellow: At this level, individuals are focused on systems thinking and complexity. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that take a holistic and long-term view of societal problems.

8. Turquoise: Individuals at this level are focused on global consciousness and spiritual unity. To participate in the democratic process, individuals at this level might focus on advocating for policies that promote global cooperation and sustainable development.
