Today I discuss How To Be A Confident Teenager with international speaker, and bestselling author on change, resilience, motivation and leadership Paul McGee (aka The Sumo Guy).
With there being a gap between what young people learn at school and what they learn at home Paul's recent book Yesss The SUMO Secrets to being a Positive, Confident, Teenager plugs this gap at the same time as developing self awareness, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
Paul and I discuss the following in our conversation:
- The societal pressures on young people to be academically successful and not fail
- The SUMO method that he teaches and how teenagers can apply this to their lives.
- The unique challenges that teenagers face in dealing with their 'blue' and 'red' rational and emotional brains during adolescence.
