True crime aficionados could do worse than Netflix’s The Lie, the heartbreaking story of a British backpacker who goes missing in Auckland, New Zealand. Using CCTV footage, local police officers piece together the young girl’s final moments and uncover a lie perpetrated by the last person to see her alive.
