Rosenthal's defiance against regulatory authorities and his eventual involvement in a car bombing led to his banishment from the casino industry. He spent his later years in Florida, distancing himself from his controversial past, and died in 2008. His life remains a symbol of the intersection between crime and business in Las Vegas' history, illustrating the fine line between legitimate enterprise and illicit activity.
