Botham Jean was a 26-year-old Dallas accountant with dreams of one day returning to his home in St. Lucia and becoming prime minister. He was getting ready to watch a football game when Amber Guyger entered his apartment and shot and killed him. She told the police she thought the apartment was hers and she mistook him for a burglar.
Dallas Morning News reporter Jennifer Emily talks with Jean’s mother about her son and expectations for the trial. Allison Jean speaks from her home in Castries, St. Lucia, the same two-story peach house where Botham Jean grew up.
