Joseph Michael Swango (born October 21, 1954), also known under the aliases David J. Adams, Michael Kirk, Jack Kirk, and Michael Swan, as well as the press nickname Dr. Death, is an American former physician and an admitted serial killer. Swango is estimated to have been involved in as many as 60 fatal poisonings of patients and colleagues, though he only admitted to causing four deaths.
