Home wherever he is, Gary was born in Quebec, moved to British Columbia, and has lived in Paris, Tokyo and Hawaii. His home base is Vancouver. Gary ran Mahler Industries, a highly regarded CNC manufacturing facility in British Columbia for more than 20 years before he became alive as a professional coach. He has studied, trained and been certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn, The Leadership Circle, Co-Active Coaching and Leadership with The Coaches Training Institute, Advanced Client Systems with Steve Chandler and graduated with honors from Trinity Western University.
