In this episode I talk about what I think is one of the most important reasons that men need friends. You might be thinking, "Why are friends important?" Well, a man needs friends. A bro needs bros! So tune in to see how I answer the question, "Why are friends important?"
To explain what I think is one of the most important reasons that men need friends, I look at a well-known story from the Bible. It's the story of Samson in the book of Judges chapters 13-16. Maybe you've never seen the story of Samson as offering a lesson on why men need friends, but believe me it does!
You might find it interesting to know that every time Samson defeated the Philistines or did something impressive with his strength, he did it to deliver his own self from some kind of mess he got into with the Philistines. Not once in all his fights with the Philistines did Samson do a single thing to deliver Israel from the Philistine oppression. It was always about delivering himself from a mess he got himself into.
That little bit of insight becomes really important as we see how his story teaches us a lesson on the importance of having friends.
