When Jordan Peele's Get Out was released in the winter of 2017, the arthouse horror genre seemingly rose from the grave, reigniting a passion for fear. Companies like A24 churned out critically acclaimed films such as Midsommar and Hereditary, gaining massive fanbases and followings not seen since the heyday of horror in the early 70s.
