Additionally, she is a founding member of the Waard Ward Collective, a social enterprise that trains newcomers in floral design and community gardening. Hanen's dedication to social justice exemplifies true leadership, earning her numerous accolades, including the Pam McConnell Award for Young Women in Leadership in 2023 and the Alterna Prize for Women’s Social Leaders in 2022.
