On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by long lost buddy Joe Yerdon, creator of Noted Hockey to discuss several topics mostly surrounding the Buffalo Bills & Sabres.

Once upon a time Joe was a weekly regular on Talking Buffalo but life and conflicting schedules happen. As result Joe joins Patrick for the first time since early August and for only the third time in 2024. Obviously that leads to having plenty to catch up on, including how Joe's job is going with both Noted Hockey and the Bleacher Report covering the Sabres. They talk about a Sabres team that's truly an enigma this season, starting the season with three straight losses and looking on the verge of buried several times but currently sit at 9-9-1 through 19 games and very much in the early mix for a playoff spot. What's going right for the team and also what's preventing them from being even better right now?

Patrick also asks Joe, not a Bills fan but a "Bills watcher" for his opinions about the team as they hit the bye with a 9-2 record. How surprised is he by the team's success so far and what's stood out for him the most? Also, a matchup is looming between Buffalo and Joe's favorite team, the Detroit Lions.
