Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. Although this weeks guest did not play on this record, by his band, I thought it put a funny spin on the podcasts name, 'Talk and Rock'. In the end i decided not to go for that and kept the irony to myself. I saw Propagandhi live for the first time on the Sunday of Thanksgiving Weekend this year (Oct. 10). It was the final show of their 3 show run at the newly renovated Park Theatre here in Winnipeg. I was and still am a newer fan of Propagandhi as the band had never crossed my path until recently. However, I have no regrets that I went because it was without a doubt the best show I've ever seen. I was front row and enjoyed every moment. What caught my eye the most was their bassist Todd (this weeks guest) hopping around on stage or 'feeling the tunes' as he says.
