The Slow Drag Opening at Herräng Dance Camp Week 4 was something else. A dark room, "Peter Nydahl Trio" on stage and in the middle of a room with gobsmacked observers Gas & Alba were dancing the most sensual and surprisingly acrobatic blues number we've ever seen.

Luckily our own Jonathan had the good fortune of filming the entire thing, and it quickly went viral and got shared all over the world within just a few days.

We were so enamoured we just had to talk to them about the conception, choreography and performance - and where did the stairs come from?!

Gastón “Gas” Fernández is a professional dancer and dance instructor, based in Madrid, Spain. He specializes in vintage dance styles including Lindy Hop, Charleston, authentic jazz, Balboa, Blues and Tango.

Alba Mengual started swing dancing because the swing people were exactly the crowd she was looking for in a new city. She was totally hooked when jazz music found a big space in her heart. There was no way back!
