I had a conversation with a friend recently where I mentioned all of the things I wanted to get done by the end of the day.
I wanted to record a podcast, finish off an old project and start on a new one, edit the week's content, and take the girls to the park. Within two hours because that seemed reasonable.
When I say the silence was LOUD. My friend just stared at me before she said “You want to do two full days of work in two hours.”
I didn’t even realise, and yet I would have been angry with myself if I hadn’t gotten all that work done.
Today’s episode is all about the expectations that we put on ourselves, and how to move past the negative self-talk. I’ve even created a checklist so that you can see where you sit on the a-hole scale.
