In this episode, Eli and Dave have a great conversation with Bobby Aldighieri, a Steamboat Springs resident, has had an impressive career both in sports and real estate.
Born in 1965, Aldighieri was an Olympic freestyle skier who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. He was known for his success in mogul skiing, winning the North American Moguls title in 1985 and earning multiple top finishes throughout the 1980s. His skiing career also includes a gold medal win at the 1988 World Cup and a spot on the U.S. World Championship team in 1991.
After his competitive skiing career, Aldighieri transitioned into coaching, where he made significant contributions to both the U.S. and Canadian national teams. He spent five years in Whistler, British Columbia, as the head coach of Team Canada, where he coached athletes to a gold medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, and achieved the first World Cup podium sweep in Canadian skiing history.
In Steamboat Springs, Aldighieri has been deeply involved with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC), where he spent a total of 12 years, including seven as the freestyle program director. During his tenure, the program saw great success, producing several U.S. Ski Team athletes and fostering a strong culture of professionalism and excellence within the freestyle skiing community.
In addition to his work in skiing, Aldighieri is now a realtor with Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty. He has seamlessly applied his passion, dedication, and attention to detail from his athletic career to his real estate work, helping clients navigate the dynamic market in Steamboat Springs.
