Here in Manitoba we have seen case counts sky rocket, test positivity rates go off the charts, and we are seeing an increase in hospitalizations too. People are frustrated, people are suffering, while capitalists have everything to gain from people acting like, and believing that, there’s no alternative to the current approach of essentially letting the virus rip through our communities. But there has always been an alternative that uses the best of science, challenges the existing power structures of society, and most importantly puts our health and well-being before the profits of capitalists. And it is important for those of us who want to create a world that’s more fair and more safe to clearly understand that and communicate it.
