With two top 20’s under her belt including “Bad Babysitter” and “Perfect Exceeder” (#3 on the UK charts), Princess has recorded 7 astonishing albums and has had numerous collaborations with musicians and producers such as Armand Van Helden, Moby, Kool Keith, Prince Paul of De La Soul, Chilly Gonzales, DJ Hell, The Prodigy, Arthur Baker (“Planet Rock” with Afrika Baambata and “Blue Monday” with New Order), Stuart Price (Madonna), and more. Her dance smash with Larry Tee “Licky” was featured in two #1 movies; the Judd Apatow film “Get Him to the Greek” and “Hall Pass.” She was featured rhyming on Grandmaster Flash’s album which also featured Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, and other hip-hop legends. She was even also an early producer/mentor of the #1 artist Lana Del Rey. Her release “I’m a Firecracker” featured producers like the Rural, who have produced the Gorillaz and Beyonce; Nyceboy, smash producer of JLo/Fat Joe; Shawn Lee of the Ping Pong Orchestra; plus Princess’ own inimitable production. She also hosts The Magical Adventures of Princess Superstar, a weekly radio show on Tastemaker Radio/Dash Radio every Thursday at 7 pm PST.
In June, Doja Cat shared a video to her Instagram with the audio to Princess Superstar's "Famous," along with quoting the lyrics in the caption.
Hamdi's "Counting," which features samples from Princess Superstar's "Perfect," received accolades from SoundCloud, Marshmello, and more. Released on Zed's Dead's label, Deadbeats, the track has nearly 1 million streams on Spotify and was #1 on Beatport's Bass Chart.
Princess Superstar has had synch placements in TV shows such as Orange is the New Black, Ugly Betty, Sex and the City, CSI, CSI Miami, Six Feet Under, and the internationally televised Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Her songs have been featured in movies like Bruno, Get Him to the Greek, Hall Pass, and Goal! Commercials for Christian Dior, Payless, JC Penny, and Easy Spirit have also used her tracks. Princess has collaborated with famed comedian Margaret Cho; and she was also featured on Inside Amy Schumer Season 4, rapping on a hilarious skit called “Beautiful.”
