A cool feeling breezed through him as he approached his desolate village, where family once worked and played. Bread in a window. Smoke in the air. Knives being sharpened. Now motionless. Without wings. His bare footsteps plodded on through the caked dirt. Not a sound or a soul to be found. Where was he? Who was he?
