We invite you to take a trip back in time - to a wet, soggy Nürburgring - as we re-live the 1962 German GP with Peter Windsor. The race resulted in a classic win for BRM's Graham Hill - but that was just the start of it. Hill was lucky to survive a lurid practice crash; Porsche, with Dan Gurney, were superquick after a week of testing; and for a while on Sunday, with mudslides making life perilous for the 350,000-strong crowd, it seemed as though the race might not happen at all. Peter details these events and more - and concludes this podcast with an assessment of the astonishing success of BRM chassis no 5781.
