The late, great American singer-songwriter, guitarist and actor Hoyt Axton is the "focus beam" artist on this new Boppin' With Beth! You'll hear about his story and a couple of great tunes from his catalog. There's also songs from some of his influences including Elvis Presley (Hoyt's mom wrote a hit for him), Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and artists that have covered him including Three Dog Night, The Kingston Trio, Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell, The Astronauts and Dallas Moore. Beth's Bop Of The Week is from Hoyt's son, Matt Axton! Jammin' James Riley has a tune from The Martian Denny Orchestra in Hang Ten.
