Welcome back to another hilariously insightful episode of "Small Screen Couch Commentary" with your dynamic duo, Alex and Billy! This week, we're diving into the second to last episode of "Gen V" Season 1, Episode 7: "Sick." For once, Billy DIDN'T mention the word penultimate! Strap in for a wild ride through viral conspiracies, explosive politics, and a supe school that's definitely not what it seems.

Our episode kicks off with the arrival of Victoria Neuman at Godolkin University, and boy, does she make an entrance! Billy can’t help but crack up at the irony of the "head popper" supe stirring the pot at a supe town hall. Alex, on the other hand, digs into Neuman's double life and her connection to Marie, revealing layers of political chicanery that would make even Homelander blush.

As Neuman’s radical rhetoric spreads among the supe students, Alex and Billy hilariously debate the parallels to real-world politics. Sam’s newfound zeal while at the town hall movement gets a special shout-out, and shows how easily he can be swayed given his fragile state.

The plot thickens as we learn about Shetty’s sinister plan to unleash a virus that targets supes. Alex and Billy’s commentary on Dr. Cardosa’s moral panic and Shetty’s cold-blooded ambition is both insightful and laugh-out-loud funny. We are left wondering if Cate is going to pull a double double cross when she meets up with the team at Shetty's house. The tension escalates when Cate forces Shetty to confess the true purpose of Godolkin University – not a place of learning, but a lab for supe experimentation a twist happens that leaves everyone in a whirlwind.

Of course with Neuman on campus you know this episode would come to a head popping end and Alex and Billy even contemplate how this may lead into the events of the finale and beyond.

As always, Alex and Billy’s blend of humor and deep-dive analysis makes this a must-listen episode. Tune in to "Small Screen Couch Commentary" for all the laughs, shocks, and superhero gossip you crave! Whether you’re here for the political intrigue or the explosive drama, this episode is sure to deliver.
