In this episode I talk about my recent trip to Mexico to 're-live' old memories from when I used to live there when I was 25 y/o.
I had fond memories about a time in my life that I was young, fearless, and lacked direction. I had such strong memories of this experience, that I went down in May 2022 at the age of 35, thinking it would feel the same. It did not.
I toyed with the idea of moving back because of the crappy weather in Vancouver, and the fun memories that I had, but quickly realized through a series of unfortunate events that the Grass is Not Always Greener on the other side.
I talk about the thought process of reflecting back on my "Glory Days" and how we remember only the best memories, but those are nothing more than experiences that shape us and teach us to grow and mature into a new person as we get older.
This episode is especially important for anyone who misses a past version of themselves that they often dream about or wish they could go back to. It gives perspective that you are exactly where you need to be, right here, right now.
