My mother would choose my outfits, my food, and she would do my homework. She even chose the college she thought was best for me. And when the professor in college grabbed me by the wrist and asked me “Lisa, are you OK?” I realized that was the first time in my life someone wanted to know how I was. I’m so grateful for her.
