Gays Against Guns was a powerful presence at the Gun Violence Prevention summit week in Washington DC which was attended by many gun violence prevention groups from around the country and organized by the Newtown Action Alliance led by Po Murray. Our show focuses on the Gays Against Guns Press conference at As You Are, an LGBTQ+ cafe and gathering place near the Capitol. Then we ride the bus with Manuel and Patricia Oliver, parents of Joachin Oliver who was murdered in the Parkland mas shooting to the 10th Annual Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. President Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke at the Vigil, the first time in ten years a President has done so.
