Now then. You know how we said we were gonna see what creative solutions audio engineers came up with by the time the late 90's came around? It's not a huge stretch to say that Jonne Valtonen and Aleksi Eeben went further than most with Project S-11.
Listening to this in isolation you may wonder what the fuss is about. Realise, though, that this came from a Game Boy Color. Not the Advance, not a DS, - the Color. The glorified 8-bit console's sound chip was pushed to the absolute limit.
Oh, and the SHMUP game that accompanies it is pretty sick, too.
