In this episode, Woody and I review the election results (as of Thursday night) and see how the predictions worked out. And, of course, it wouldn't be a politics episode of Pol and Pop if Woody and I didn't tie in some other things (like gerrymandering) and go on for a little while about speed limits and traffic in the DC area after that.
Since this recording, the Democrats have been declared the winners in the Senate seat races in both Nevada and Arizona, so they've held control of the Senate regardless of what happens in the Georgia runoff. It looks likely that the Republicans will take the House, since they've won 211 races to the Democrats' 206, and only need to win 7 of the remaining 18 to do so.
