Kendrick Kumabe, M. Ed. is the acclaimed Author of Coaching Young Champions: Social Emotional Learning Considerations for the Virtual/Hybrid Educator. He is also the Founder of Kenzumi Education Consulting, LLC. Kendrick is a distinguished member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. and is currently serving as the President of the Nevada African American Administrators & Superintendents Association (NVAAASA), teachers chapter. Not only that, but Kendrick is the President of Superior Substitutes, a Las Vegas-based education staffing firm committed to filling critical teacher shortages in underserved communities. Further sharing his expertise with those who need it, Kendrick joined FranklinCovey as an Education Consultant.

With virtual platforms, teachers need to keep an open line of communication with parents, create a sense of community in the virtual classroom, understand where the student is at, and know the particular area where students need help. Kendrick Kumabe, M. Ed. also believes that teachers need to teach from a lens of compassion because it shows the students that the teachers are truly invested in them.
